The diplomatic correspondent of the Australian Associated Press tays that Mr. F. Hemming, secretary of the Non-intervention Committee, will leave for Burgos before the end of the week to explain fully the plans for the withdrawal of volunteer* from Spain.
Official quarters have confidence that he will succeed in persuading the rebel leader, General Franco, to reconsider his previous rejection of the plan. Italy and Germany, in addition to France and Britain, have expressed full approval of Mr. Hem* ming's visit, and only Russia is not enthusiastic. ■
