GOLFERS AT TOURNEY
No special arrangements have been made to enable women taking part in the New Zealand golf championship at the Ngamotu links. New Plymouth, on election day to record their votes as absentees at the golf-house.
* The Chief Electoral Officer (Mr. G. G. Hodgkins) points out that such arrangements as are-reported to have been made could not be carried out without contravening the provisions^ of the Electoral Act. Competitors who will be absent from the electorates in which they are registered will have to record their votes as absentees in the ordinary way at the nearest polling booth, which will be at Fitzroy, only a mile away from the links.
