(From "The Post's" Representative.)

The ladies of Knox Church Guild were the guests of the Lower Hutt St. 'Stephen's Association yesterday afternoon in St. Stephen's schoolroom, which was charmingly decked for the occasion with branches of Japanese cherry blossom, bowls of ranunculus, and freesias. The president of the association (Mrs. J. B. McCallum) and Mrs.; Auld received, being assisted by Mrs. A. Marshall (secretary) and Mrs. L. W. Ferguson (treasurer). The hostesses were Mesdames H. Barron, Boyd, W. Benzies, F. Gray, A, Gerrie, Gibb, Stanley Harris, and the Misses Feist, and Davison. Several solos were delightfully rendered by Mrs. Baker and Mrs. F. Gray, and elocutionary items given by Mrs. L. V. Fisher were received with appreciation. Following the tea interval, when a delicious home-made afternoon , tea was served amid a buzz of happy conversation, a most interesting talk was given by Miss McWhirter, of the Wellington Youth Centre, on "Vocational Guidance." A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the speaker. Miss McWhirter and the artists were each presented with a fragrant posy.
