ARCHBISHOP O'SHEA AT WESTMINSTER

Archbishop O'Shea, of Wellington, was amlng prelates who attended Cardinal Hinsley when "God Save the King" was sung at the end of High Mass in Westminster Cathedral. In an interview in Invercargill the Minister of Public Works (Mr. Semple) said that plans were being prepared for a modern hostel at Milford Sound. This would involve large-scale reclamation for the site, which would be carried out by dredging a berthjige for steamers and pumping the dredged material into the reclamation area. There were 466 men employed on the Te Anau-Milford, Haast Pass, and Hollyford roads.
