MARLBOROUGH ROLL
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
BLENHEIM, This Day. "The supplementary roll for the Marlborough electorate indicates that since last election there has been an increase of 1484 voters. This is partly accounted for by the fact that the boundaries of the electoral district were altered last year to incorporate the Rai Valley, Canvastown, *> Deep Creek, and Peloriis areas, which were previously included in Nelson. The recommencement of work on the South Island main trunk railway has also had an important bearing on the question for a great many of the men employed on the line are located north of Conway River, which forms the electoral boundary.
j The supplementary roll contains 1513 .names. The total number eligible
to vote in Marlborough will be 12,247. When the last General Election was held the total number of electors enrolled was 11,026.
