VOTING ANALYSED
"It has been said that the Labour Government is a minority Government," said Mr. H. E. Combs, Labour candidate for Wellington Suburbs, speaking at Khandallah last evening. He pointed out, however, that Labour had not contested ten seats, and if one took into account the unrecorded Labour votes then they could say that Labour did get a majority vote of the'people. Twenty-two Labour members had been returned in triangular contests, but on the national side, 11 of the 19 candidates elected had been returned in triangular contests. "They have a minority representation of 60 per cent., compared with Labour's 40 per cent/ ha added.
