BOUND BY TREATY
SUPPORT OF CZECHS
LITTLE ENTENTE POWERS
(Received September 26, 2 p.m.) LONDON, September 26. Czech diplomatic officials in Lon-, don state that the Rumanian and Yugoslav Ministers in Prague have reaffirmed the validity of the Little Entente Pact. Reuters' correspondent in Buda-* pest says diplomatic circles confirm a report that Rumania informed the Czech Government that she regarded herself as bound by the Little Entente Treaty to support Czechoslovakia in the event of Hungarian unprovoked aggression. Mobilisation plans have been completed and distributed throughout Rumania in readiness for immediate implementation. The Ministry of War- has assumed control of all individual enterprises ill Rumania. The Little Entente was created by the Czechoslovaks, Rumanians, and Yugoslavs as a defensive alliance against restoration of the Habsburgs, which was seen as a threat to their independence. It was formed in 1920 and binds the Powers to aid one another and not to ally themselves with any outside Powers without consent of the other members of the Entente. The alliance is especially anti-Hungarian because Hungary lost territory to each of the three countries and has always been bent on regaining it. j
