WELLINGTON CASH CLUB
Trying conditions were experienced by the 14 riders who contested the I Wellington Cash Club's 38 miles handicap on Saturday afternoon. Starting at Petone, the course was ■to the foot of the Mangaroas and back. Three spills, one of which was serious, marred the race. Landtz, the limit man, who was a likely winner, was one of the unfortunates', falling within a mile of the finish. The 6min men worked very well and had the finish to themselves, : Wakeham.in the sprint, beat Wright by less than a wheel. His time was lhr 42min. .
