AUCKLAND, September 25. In a fast and at times brilliant exhibition of the Rugby League code at Carlaw iPark, Eastern Suburbs, run-ners-up 'in the New South Wales championship, beat Marist, winner of the Auckland championship, by 36 points to 15. The visitors led at halftime by 15 points to 13. Ideal conditions prevailed, and there was an attendance estimated at 9000. Woods (Marist) retired in the second spell with a broken leg.
