His Excellency the Governor-General was present at the annual meeting of the Boy Scouts' Association at Wellington this afternoon. Dr. R. A. Shore, Acting DirectorGeneral of Health, who has been visiting Dargaville on official business, returned to Wellington today. Mr. W. J. Morrell, Chancellor of Otago University, and Mr. L' v D. Ritchie, Vice-Chancellor, have been ed the university's representatives on the Senate of the University of New Zealand. Messrs. G. M. Spence, E. Reid, and; A. R. Graham, all of Blenheim, have been appointed to constitute the Marlborough (No. 2) Adjustment Commission. The appointments of Colonel P. H. Bell, D.5.0., Officer Commanding tha Southern Military District, and Lie* tenant-Colonel (temporary. Colonel) O. H. Mead, D.5.0., Officer Commanding the Northern Military. District, ".as honorary aides-de-camp to his Excellency the Governor-General l are gazetted. • Messrs. A. B. Congdon, H. E. Stevens, and F. G. Duncan have been added to the New Zealand Fruit Export Control Board as producers' representatives. Dr. Graham. Cowie, F.R.C.S.E., left London by air on September 18, and is expected in Masterton early in.October, states the "Wairarapa Tune*" Age." He is accompanied by his wife. It is his intention to join his parents, Dr. J. A. Cowie arid Dr. Helen Cowie,-in practice in Masterton. During his two years abroad he has been doing post-gradutate work at Edinburgh, London, and Vienna. Mr. A. P. O'Shea, secretary of; the New Zealand Farmers' Union, is at present visiting the Taranaki district. Mr. Lawrence L. Hunt, formerly Of Hataitai, now with the R.A.F. stationed in Iraq, has been gazetted a flying officer as from April.last. ; .
