SPRING FLOWERS
SHOW AT KARORI
An excellent display of spring flowers was made at the Karori Horticultural Society's Spring Show, which was opened yesterday afternoon by Mr. R. A. Wright, who congratulated the society and exhibitors. Naturally i daffodils preponderated in the show, but there were numerous other wellgrown spring flowers, lending colour and varifety to the display. Championship blooms in the daffodil classes were exhibited by Mr. C. Harding (a yellow trumpet "Honeyboy") and by Mr. A. J. Neilson (a nontrumpet "Karori"). In the novice section Miss A. Packwood and Mr. G. Janisch were awarded championship honours for their blooms. The following awards were made: — Narcissi. Amateur Section. —Trumpet, distinct varieties: J. Bell 1. When the motor-car he was driving and a van collided at the intersection of Wilson and Owen Streets yesterday morning, Henry William Johnson, a civil servant, of 2 Shirley Street, Karori, suffered injuries which necessitated his receiving treatment at the hospital. He was able to leave later. The motor-car was extensively damaged, but the van, which was driven by Leonard Ronald Harvey, was only slightly damaged,
