MAGISTRATE'S COURT

A fine of £2, in default 14 days' imprisonment, was imposed upon John Albert Dooley, a waterside worker, who appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, charged with assaulting William Hamilton. The charge was the sequel to a disturbance in the grandstaiii of the Basin Reserve dur-, ing the Chatham Cup final on September 3.

Helen Goldsworthy, Harry Powis, Leonard Gent, and Michael Peters were each fined £1 and costs for Sunday trading. Heber Le Bas was fined £2 and costs for aiding the commission of the offence of selling liquor after hours.
