Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated September 22, 1938, giving North Island frozen meat quotations as follows: —Down lambs, 28-361b 8 l-8d per lb, 36-421b 8 l-8d; crossbred lambs, 28-361b 7 7-Bd, 36-421b 7 7-8 d; second quality lambs, average 30-3 lib 7d: (■• wether sheep, under 481b 5 3-Bd, 48-561b 4?d, 56-641b 4 5-Bd, 64-721b 4£d; ewes, under 481b 3Jd, 48-561b 3 l-Bd, 56-641b 3d, 64-721b 3d; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160-220, none offering. Compared with last week's quotations, second quality lamb, l-8d per lb lower; ewes, under 481b, l-8d per lb lower, 64-721b l-8d per lb higher; others unchanged. The market is quiet.
