THREE PEOPLE HURT
HUTT ROAD ACCIDENT
COLLISION WITH POST
Three persons were injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a post on the Hutt Road, near Ngahauranga, at 10.25 o'clock last night. The injured people, who were taken to hospital by -the Free Ambulance, were:—Mr. J. Taylor, 19 Palm Avenue, locksmith, iricised wound on the scalp, wound on left hand, and shock. Mr. A. G. Lindsay, 41 Moa Point, waterside worker, injury to left shoulder and incised wound on face. I Pat Lindsay, aged 14, wounds on \ forehead and scalp.
OTHER ACCIDENTS
Mr. R. A. Tomlinson, of Mungaroa Road, Maori Bank, a watchmaker, received an injured left leg and abrasions to the face when a motor-car and the motor-cycle he was riding came into collision at Upper Hutt at 8.25 p.m. yesterday. Two people received injuries which necessitated their removal to hospital by the Free Ambulance when they were knocked down by a motor-car in Lambton Quay at 10.5 p.m. yesterday. Mr. M. Tebbett, 10 Garrett Street, a grocer, received slight concussion and an injury to his left side, and Miss M. Newton, 28 Crieff Street, Northland, a factory hand, received bruises on the forehead.
Mr. W. Guy, a sheet metal worker, of Christchurch, received internal injuries when playing Rugby League for Sydenham against St. George at Wellington on Saturday. Mr. L. Duguid, a labourer, of Akatea Street, fractured his left ankle when he fell in the street on Saturday night.
