OLD BOYS' DANCE
END-OF-SEASON GAIETY
The dampening atmosphere of the slormy weather outside had little effect on the gay, informal spirit of revelry in the Wellington College Gymnasium on Saturday evening, when the Wellington College Old Boys' Football Club held another of its popular dances, which was attended by a large number of old boys and their friends. Streamers in the college colours, orange and black, made a fringe round the electric lamps, arid the heavy blue curtains at the sides created an attractive background for the colourful frocks of the dancers, and formed cosy sittingout nooks for the onlookers. A sitdown supper was served in the supperroom, where vases of daffodils and silver birch made gay centre pieces on the tables. The committee comprised Messrs. H. Baldwin, CD. Mac Donald, J. Nelson, R. Orr, S. Parnell, K. Sadler, J. Wilson, W. Barclay, C. McColl, N. Linklater, and W. Walker. Among others present were the principal of the college, Mr. W. A. Armour, and Mrs. Armour (the latter wearing an attractive frock of dusky blue), Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Thompson, the Misses Peggy Urquhart, Helen Harrison, Diana King, Peggy Bryan, Catherine Urquhart, Kathleen Macdonald, Nola Stitt, Myra Harrap, Molly Gustofson, Eileen Fortune, Patricia Frazer, Joan Carway, Joan Peach Winnie Mac Donald, N. Aitken, L. J. Thompson, Myra Warsaw, Jean Lark, Pat. Wigory, Billie Pay ton, Marjorie Osborne; and Messrs. Alex Armour, A. Smith, Ralph Orchison, Allan Nicholls, Garth Button, Ray Fuller, N. Edwards, Cecil Kenney, P. Smith, W. Comrie, J. Sourness, A. G. Aimies, N. Coward, L. Cording, B. Sadler, A. and H. Macdonald, Donald Gordon, D. Flurrie, G. S., and F. Reynolds, B. Chandler, B. Myers, and J. McCoshier.
