HERE AND THERE
Drama Festival. Great interest is felt at Lower Hutt in the annual drama festival which will be held at St. James Hall, Lower Hutt, on Wednesday and Thursday of next week, commencing at 6.45 each evening. The adjudicator will be Mrs: Craig Mackenzie, and some plays of outstanding interest will be . staged; An advertisement gives further details of this interesting festival. Rongotai College Funds. ; The Hataitai committee of the ladies' auxMary of Rongotai College held a very successful card, afternoon in the English-speaking Union room recently. Large bowls of Iceland poppies added to the charm of the room. An attractive afternoon tea was served by ladies of the committee, Mrs. W. Rough acting as hostess. Prizes donated by Mrs. W. N. W. Cartney, Mrs. C. E. Cundy, and Mrs. W. H. Brownan ' werer'won by Mrs. Shapiro and Mrs. M. Nees for bridge and Mrs. Bruce for "500."
