'VrOTICE is hereby given that the Pe--*-11 tone Borough Council proposes at its meeting to be held on the 26th day of September, 1938, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to divert an amount of approximately £4000 that will accrue upon finality being reached, in connection with the setting back of Jackson Street. The work for which the Jackson Street Widening Loan, 1928, of £35,000 was raised having been completed, the Council desires to expend the balance on the widening of Udy Street on the south side, from Richmond Street to the Hutt Road. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit same in writing to the Petone Borough Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting.
