ANNUAL MEETINGS
SEATOUN CLUB
The annual meeting of the Seatoun Lawn Tennis Club was held last week. Mr. R. P. Cooper presiding. There had been a fairly substantial decrease in membership, according to the report. The finances of the club were in a most unsatisfactory state, the j amount outstanding in subscriptions ■ being the highest for many years. Smith occupied the top positions on the men's and women's ladders respectiyely. The activities of the various committees were reiiected in the receipt of £6 12s this year as compared with £24 lls 3d in 1936-37. Due to the lack of finance the committee had been unable to provide trophies for the various club events. During the meeting there was keen discussion on inter-club tennis, buttons play, and the financial position of the club. Opening day was fixed for Saturday, September- 24. Officers were elected as follows: — Patron. Mr. W. L. Page; president, Mr. W. Murie; secretary, Mrs. K. G. Dunn; treasurer, Mr. J. K. Smith; committee, Mesdames J. Gibbons, E. Shennan, H. P. Muir, J.
