SUCCESSFUL JUNIOR
FIRST AND FASTEST
First place and fastest time honours! were carried off by a junior, W. Goey, | off 3min, in the combined senior and I junior 25 miles road race held on Saturday afternoon by the Poneke Amateur Cycling Club from Kaiwarra to Stokes Valley and back. The limit riders appeared likely to be successful until 100 yards from the finish, where! Goey joined them. There was an excellent sprint and Goey just beat L. Jonasen. , The field was small, the competitors being mostly junior riders, who rode well, in spite of the cross winds. J Details are:— W. Goey (3min), 67min 24sec .... I L.
