SUMMER SEASON
ATHLETIC COACHING
Now that the end of the football season has just about been reached, thoughts are turning to summer pastimes. A number of the cricket clubs have held their annual meetings and in a short time the athletic clubs will be following suit. The Wellington Amateur Athletic Centre is again to have the services |of the American coach, Mr. A. L. i Fitch., who, after making a trip to the United States, is back again in Wellington, but part of his time this season is to be spent in Christchureh. Steps Jare being taken to put the coaching of athletes in Wellington on a proper basis, and to this end there is to be a meeting of club representatives tomorrow night. The question of how best to assist and further the work of the coach is to be discussed at this meeting and also general arrangements for training, which, it is proposed, shall be carried out again at the Hataitai ground. Mr. Fitch is to attend the meeting and during the evening is to exhibit the bag of samples of American athletic costumes be brought back with him to New Zealand.
