BIG CONTRACT LET
ANTI-AIRCRAFT GUNS FOR U.S.A.
WASHINGTON, September 6.
The War Department has awarded a 10,000,000-dollar contract for rapidfire anti-aircraft guns sufficient to equip 32 regiments for the defence of key cities. The guns will be mounted on mobile units capable of a speed of 50 miles an hour. They will fire French 75 millimetre shells to a height of .30,000 feet.
