One depression crossed the centre of the country yesterday while another which was forming near Norfolk Island is centred rapIdly In the southern half of the South Island as the-result of the advance across the Tasman sea of an intense anticyclone. Southerly winds havo extended from Canterbury to about Cook Strait, while over the North Island winds have remained northerly. Wind force has been fresh to strong about Cook Strait and elsewhere light to moderate. Unsettled weather, which yesterday morning was confined to Westland has spread to all the Dominion, except Canterbury and the north-eastern parts of the North Island. Weather.—Unsettled, with rain at first in most districts, but more especially the central provinces. Improving soon in western and southern portions of the South Island and a more general improvement probable by tomorrow. Temperatures cool, with some frosts inland in the South Island. C. W. Price and Co., 91 Dixon Street, will sell household furniture, c.p. ware, and glassware in the mart tomorrow, commencing at 1.30 p.m.- On Wednesday next, at 2.30 p.m., they will sell four-roomed dwelling-house and bathroom at 68 Waripori Street.
