BOY SERIOUSLY HURT

(Special to the "Evening Post.")

PALMERSTON N., This Day.

A training run undertaken last evening by four Foxton boys in preparation for a boxing tournament ended unfortunately when one of the party named Eagle, aged 12, was struck by a car and seriously hurt. The accident occurred about two miles north of Foxton on the main highway. Eagle was attended to by a doctor and,then taken to hospital in Palmerston North. It is reported that he has a fracture of the base of the skull, a broken thigh bone, and a broken shin bone. His condition is regarded as serious.
