ELECTRICAL TRADERS CONFERENCE
Delegates representative" of affiliated local,. .associations", throughout .'the Dominion attended the annual conference of the New, "Zealand Electrical Traders' federation held in Wellington recently. The- president,. Mr,\'J. M. Fleming,, occupied the chair. . 7 . The annual- report disclosed' that numerous subjects important to those engaged in .the electrical industry had been dealt with during the past year. A gratifying feature was the fact that as the result of the membership campiagn conducted, the numerical strength of local .associations had been increased. A further organised, effort in this direction is being planned for the near future. Discussions took place on various legislative proposals affecting the interests of mejnber* throughout the Dominion. Desmoulins (Dunedin Association), J. M. Fleming, H. S. Lamburd (Wellington WhoJesalers' Association), W.S. Cederholm G. W. Waite (Wellington Contractors' Association); advisory committee, Messrs. S. Cory-Wright (Auckland Association), R. A. Redpath (Canerbury'Association),. C. S. Stewart (Dunedin Association), J. M. Fleming Wellington Wholesalers' Association), W S Gederholm (Wellington Contractors' Association); hon. auditor, Mr. R. J Porter, Wellington (re-elected); secretary and treasurer, Mr. Frank Ross, Wellington. ■ ■ " The visiting delegates were the guests of the Wellington Wholesale' Electrical Traders at various social functions which took place during the period of the conference.. Tribute was paid to the untiring efforts and the capable manner in which the president had devoted himself to the interests of electrical traders generally over a long period of years. The thanks of members were also accorded to the vice-president, Mr. H. S. Lamburd, and to the members of the advisory committee for their work during the past year. The hon. auditor, Mr. R. J. Porter, was also thanked for-his services.
