ELECTRICAL TRADERS CONFERENCE

Delegates representative" of affiliated local,. .associations", throughout .'the Dominion attended the annual conference of the New, "Zealand Electrical Traders' federation held in Wellington recently. The annual- report disclosed' that numerous subjects important to those engaged in .the electrical industry had been dealt with during the past year. A gratifying feature was the fact that as the result of the membership campiagn conducted, the numerical strength of local .associations had been increased. A further organised, effort in this direction is being planned for the near future. Discussions took place on various legislative proposals affecting the interests of mejnber* throughout the Dominion. Tribute was paid to the untiring efforts and the capable manner in which the president had devoted himself to the interests of electrical traders generally over a long period of years. The thanks of members were also accorded to the vice-president, Mr. H. S. Lamburd, and to the members of the advisory committee for their work during the past year. The hon. auditor, Mr. R. J. Porter, was also thanked for-his services.
