OPERATIONS AT WANGANUI

WANGANUI, This Day. A number of visiting horses arrived yesterday, the arrivals including Red Mint, Life Guard, Te Huia, Ruling Lady, Trailer, Cullus, Liane, Beau Monde, Paul Robeson, Brazen King, Cricket Bat, Ambition, and Coil.

The majqrity of the horses were restricted to pace'work this morning, but Pakanui ran away from Eurotas over half a mile in 50 4-ssec, time that Paul Robeson equalled.

Ambition was much too good for Coil over five furlongs, run in lmin 6 2-ssec., '■■ "

Beau Monde had the better of First Chapter over three furlongs in 37£ sec.

Amigo traversed . five, furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssec.

iLiane ran six furlongs, the last five In lmin 4 2-ssec. i Sly Fox rah the last three furlongs of a six furlongs task in 39sec.
