TOKIO, September 6. One hundred persons were killed and injured and 7000 are homeless a3 the result of a fire which has destroyed half the town of Himimachi. ,

The fire was due to a typhoon which passed on to Hokkaido Island afterdestroying seventy-two houses, flooding 2164 houses, and c.amaging fortytwo bridges. . - ;
