OIL FOR NEWSPRINT

The Government Petroleum Administration has completed its first direct barter deal with Germany. Expropriated oil will be shipped to Hamburg in exchange for newsprint. Mexican agents in Italy are also arranging to barter oil for'rayon. Mexican purchases from the United States during July amounted to 3,000,000 dollars, compared with 10,000,000 dollars during July of last year. ,
