OSAKA AND KOBE
MORE VIOLENT THAN LAST

TOKIO, September 5,
Thirty-six hours after a warning had been issued, a typhoon more violent than last week's, approaching from the Bonin Island, struck Osaka and Kobe, uprooting trees and tearing down hoardings. Shipping services were paralysed.
Deaths at present total 62.
