M.C.C. OBJECTS
COVERING OF WICKETS
(Received September 6, 11 a.m.) JOHANNESBURG, September 5. The M.C.C. has rejected a proposal by South Africa to cover the wickets j during the coming tour on the ground that the "principle is opposed to thej cricket laws." It is feared that the decision will affect the financial side of the tour.
