SUPPORT FOR B.M.A.

Support for the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association in its attitude towards the Government's health scheme was given at the meet* ing of the New Zealand section of the Royal Australasian College of . Surgeons held in Christchurch last week.

The meeting adopted a resolution supporting the British Medical Association in its opposition to the universal medical practitioner scheme proposed by the Government and expressed the opinion that it would have a harmful effect on the medical services of the community.
