Since yesterday pressure has risen slightly in* the north and is now high and very uniform over the Dominion, With the exception of the far south, where barometers are falling slowly. This morning southerly winds still predominate over the North Island but are now only light in force. Over the South Island light to moderate north-easterlies or northerlies have prevailed. Temperatures cool with some frosts inland.
