The final match this season for the Red Top Shield was played oil Sunday at Te Marua between Karori and Te Marua. Neither club was at full strength. The following are the results, Karori players being mentioned first:—Fourball: Simmis and McKenzie beat Paul and Austad, 1 up; Cooper and Barron beat Leighton and Cornaga, 4' and 2; Dykes and Hutchings lost to Benge and Pope 4 and 2; McGavin and James lost to Goetz and Loader, 1 up; Martin and Thomson, v. Denniston and Atchley, all square; Dustin and McKay lost to Wright and Stewart, 2 and 1. Singles: Simmis beat Austad, 2 up; McKenzie lost to Paul, 3 and 2; Cooper beat Leighton, 5 and 4; Barron beat Cornaga, 4 and 2; Dykes lost to Benge, S and 6; Hutchings lost to Pope, 2 up; James beat Goetz, 5 and 4; McGavin lost to Loader, 3 and 2; Martin lost to Denniston, 4 and 2; Thomson beat Atchley, 3 and 2; McKay beat Wright, 5 and 4; Dustin beat Stewart, 4 and 3. Karori won the Shield by 9. games to 8.
