SIR EARLE PAGE
FEDERAL MINISTER
VISIT TO WELLINGTON
GUEST OF THE STATE
Sir Earle Page, Deputy Prime Minister of the Australian Commonwealth and Minister of Commerce, arrived in Wellington this morning from Auckland on a brief visit —he is leaving for Sydney by the Maunganui tomorrow— and was today honoured by the city and the Government of the Dominion at a civic reception and a State luncheon.
While in Wellington, he will discuss trade matters with the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet.
Sir Earle Page, on his way south, visited the Galatea Estate and the Maori land development schemes in the Rotorua district, the Hautu prison farm, and the Tokaanu fish hatchery, in company with the Minister of Lands (the Hon. F. Langstone).
