THE GHOST
(An Original Playlet.1) The characters in this play arcViolet, Rose, and their mother. Scene: An Ordinary room. Violet and Rose sitting on the floor. Rose: I wonder if the ghost will come tonight? Violet: Don't tell me you believe in it. It's all so silly. Rose: But I do believe in it and it is not all silly. - Violet: O, go to bed! Ghosts indeed! Rose: I think' I will. (Goesr out and walks in again, clad in a sheet.) Rose: I am the ghost of Sir Tommy Brown. . Violet (jumping up): Pardon? Rose: Are you the girl who does not believe in ghosts? Violet: N-no. I me"ah-r-ye3. Rose: Do you believe in them now. Violet: Yes. O, yes. "b Rose (dropping the sheet): That's good. Violeti You! You—all,- the time! Rose: Of course it's me. ;' ',-'•■ Mother (coming in): What's all this in here, and my sheet, top. Rose: We—l—us .- Mother: Enough. To bed with you.
