Olearia Semidentata (New Zealand).

This is the first of four flower paintings to be printed in the Ring. All boys and girls under sixteen may enjer; for the competition, and when the paintings are judged prizes will be given for the four best sets. Mount the paintings on cardboard and decorate the mount if you wish. These flowers are light purple, with yellow anthers. The leaves are olive green, with browny-cream backs. Tlie flower stems are. olive grpen. Painting Nnmber One must reach the Ring before next Saturday.
