TREASURY BILLS RATE.
(British Official Wireless.) (Received September 3, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, September 2. The total amount applied for m tenders for £45,000,000 of Treasury bills was £74,550,000. The maximum amount was allotted in bills at three months for which the average rate per cent, was 10s 5.87 d, as compared with 10s 1.53 d per cent, a week ago.
At the corresponding date a year ago tenders for £45,000,000 of Treasury bills totalled £88,170,000,-and the average rate per cent, for bills at three months was 10s 2.53 d.
