EXTENSION THREAT
AIRCRAFT STRIKE
ENGINEERS' ULTIMATUM
(Received August 27, 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Amalgamated Engineers' Union announced that unless a settlement is reached in the strike a* the Fishermen's Bend*^ aircraft factory, it will be extended on Wednesday to all Government munition works and to the Garden Island naval depot.
The effect of this would be to tie up the Government's defence programme.
