AUTUMN CRUISE

HOME FLEET'S PROGRAMME

AT NEARLY FULL STRENGTH

(British Official Wireless.) (Received August 27, 1 p.m.) RUGBY, August 28. The autumn cruise of the Home Fleet, which is to start on September 6, will extend over some ten weeks, during which the units of the command will be undergoing intensive training in Scottish waters. The battleships will be at Invergordon, Scapa Flow, and Rosyth until the middle of November and the newspapers remark that, judging from the programme of movements of the other ships in the fleet, the climax of the* training will come in the week beginning October 18. The Main Fleet will then be nearly at full strength and a big exercise will be carried out from headquarters at Scapa Flow.
