JOVIAL SON FOR STUD

Jovial Son, a seven-year-old norse by Constant Son from Queen Comedy, has been imported by Messrs. J. and J. Paterson for stud duty and he is to go to Motiti Island. He was a good performer in . Australia, winning four races in the colours of "Miss Lorna Doone," and as many more, last season, in the ownership of Mesdames R. S. Burnstein and S. Gilewich. Jovial Son's last two victories in Australia were the Moorefield Handicap, which he won by eight lengths, and the Warwick Farm November Handicap. On each occasion El Senorita was runnerup. Constant Son, sire of the newcomer, is an imported horse by Son-in-Law from Constant Lady, by Stedfast, and Queen Comedy is by Comedy King from Pendant. The New Zealand mare Gay Sheila, by Gay Shield from Lady Marie, travelled by the same vessel as Jovial Son. She will be mated with Foxbridge.
