BRITISH DIPLOMATIC APPOINTMENT
(British Official Wireless.) (Received August 23, 11 a.m.) HUGBY, August 22. The King has approved the appointment of Mr. J. H. Leche as his Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Guatemala,: Honduras, Nicaragua, and Salvador, in place of Mr. J. H. S. Birch, who will shortly relinquish that appointment.
A successor to Mr. Leche at Barcelona has not been appointed, but in diplomatic circles Mr. Ralph Stevenson is named as the probable successor. Mr. Stevenson is a counsellor in the Foreign Office, and recently has been ad3lsoj^» r l^§g\i£ affairs* '^
