THE EBRO FRONT

INSURGENT ATTACK

LOYALIST LINE BROKEN

LONDON, August 22. The Saragossa correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that the insurgents, bringing men, guns, and tanks from the Fayon sector, have redoubled their effort to drive back the Government forces who crossed the Ebro.

Bombardments by tanks silenced machine-gun nests. Insurgent shock troops then attacked and broke the line, which was forced to surrender or retreat across the bridges under shellfire and aerial machine-gunning.
