RUGBY LEAGUE
GAME IN WELLINGTON
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Rugby Football League Board of Control was held last night. The St. George reserve grade team was granted permission to travel to Christchurch next Saturday under the managership of Messrs. Arrowsmith and Foote. A letter was received from the Inangahua Rugby League asking for a game in Wellington when its team is going through to Auckland. It was decided that Wellington [would not travel to the West Coast this season, but would endeavour to arrange an early visit next year. Mr. J. Petterson was appointed referee of the Town v. Country reserve grade representative game next Saturday. Fixtures for Saturday next are as follows: — Petone v. Western Suburbs (Taranaki), North Park, Mr. McCaskill, 3 p.m.; Town v. Country Reserves, North Park, Mr. J. Petterson, 1.30 p.m. Competitions. Senior.—St. George v. Randwick, Kandwick, 3 p.m.; Central v. Newtown, Newtown Park, 3 p.m. . Third Grade.—Miramar.v. St. George, Newtown Park, 1.30 p.m.; Randwick v. Eastern Suburbs, Showground, 3 p.m..
