BOSTON, August 22. Results of the United States doubles championship tennis matches are:—

. Budge and Mako. beat Washman and Burgess, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3; Briignon and Gopfert defaulted to Puncec and Kukuljevic; Hughes and Hare beat Gow and Hyde, 6-2, 6-3, 6-3; Henkel and Metaxa defaulted to Farrin and Howard. Petra and Destremeau were also among the winners.

Budge and Mako were not pressed, and played in lazy style, scoring points almost at will. The Germans Henkel and Metaxa merely commented: "We were refused permission to play, but intend to stay and watch, the matches."
