CAPITAL OF NEW GUINEA
MELBOURNE, August 21.
It is reported that the Federal Cabinet has reconsidered its choice of a site for the new capital of New Guinea because of the growing objection to Salamaua, which was recently selected to replace Rabaul.
A committee of experts, it is understood, favours Lac. Critics say that Salamaua is isolated, malarial, and subject to blackwater fever and tic1 "* waves.
