A- meeting of the executive pf the Wellington-Hawke's Bay "Pipe Band Centre wag ,held on Saturday evening. Pipe-Major V. J, Nicholson (Painterston North) presided, Application for affiliation from the Wellington Police Highland Pipe Band was granted. The matter of the parent body granting a permit for a drum-majors' display without first consulting the centre was discussed, and it was resolved to protest against such action by the association . It was unanimously regolved to recommend to the incoming executive to hold the next centre contest at Pannevirke, Remits for the ; annual meeting of the association were jifecussed, after which the delegates attended the Caledonian Society's inglesjde.
