EASY WIN FOR DIAMOND

Diamond met Technical Old Boys at Anderson Park. For the greater part of the first spell Technical put up a great fight, and McLean, O'Connell, and Topless had to exert themselves to keep the fast-moving Technical vanguard from scoring. Wright and A. Gates on the right wing, were seen in two bright movements, and Gates was unfortunate in not scoring. Later, Stewart was seen in one of the best runs of the day, but the ball hit the upright and bounced out of play. The first spell had been in progress half an hour before the first score was registered.

For some unaccountable reason Technical lost all vigour and combination in the second spell, and for the most part they were on the defensive. Diamond's teamwork improved vastly, however, and they won by id goals to nil.
