The Dairy Board is advised by the Marketing Department that at close of business in London on Saturday, the New Zealand and Danish butter market was steadier at the end of the week. Prices quoted were as follows: —
The retail price of New Zealand and Danish butter is unchanged at Is The Imperial Economic Committee's estimated stocks of all butters in store equals 1,418,678 boxes (last year 93|ne 9 New SZealand cheese market is firm, with an advance on the week to 71s 6d to 72s per cwt for. white and coloured compared to 70s 6d to 71s foA4"?aUan Owhite and coloured cheese is selling at 68s to 70s per cwt, and AuKraliln at 78s to 80s, the .same as test week. English farmers' cheese commands 84s to 86s per cwt, and factory cheese 65s to 665. ~. New Zealand cheese is still selling retail at 9d per lb.
