SOLDIERS' BALL
■ Under the auspices of the Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment. League, a.wellarranged ball will take place on Thursday night at St. Francis Hall. A strong committee is at work making all arrangements for a particularly successful function. Old-time as well as modern dances will be on the programme, and the, music will be of the best. The same may be said of the supper, which is planned to .be particularly appetising. The decoration of the hall and supper-room is in the hands of experienced people who will see that a cheerful and artistic setting is provided for the guests. y
It is hoped that special interest will be shown in assisting this ball", as the proceeds will be to provide machines and tools for disabled*soldiers who are now earning a living by handicrafts. To make their part easier should appeal to most people, and it is hoped that the "dancing world" will see to it that the results of the effort are of the best.
