DANISH GIRL'S FEAT

COPENHAGEN, July 29.

Miss Jenny Kammersgaard, aged 17, swam from Gedser to Warnemunde in 40 hours 26 minutes. She is the first person to swim the Baltic. Owing to wind and currents she swam 40 miles, although the distance the starting and finishing points is 27 miles.
