BRITISH SUCCESS

LONDON, July 10,

Two British pilots participating in the national gliding contest at Dunstable, Bedfordshire, ascended at 4.9 p.m. yesterday and landed at 2.20 p.m. today, having broken the world twoseater duration record of 21 hours 2 minutes held by Germany, besides the British record for any glider of 13 hours 7 minutes.

Flight-Lieutenant W. B. Murray, stationed at Famborough, and Stanley Sproule, an aircraft engineer, piloted the machine.
